Taking them past many local attractions and places of interest, St. Nicholas Church, The Market Place, The River Wear, Framwelgate Bridge, Palace Green, Durham Cathedral, Durham Castle, The Heritage Centre and Museum, Prebends Bridge and Elvet Bridge,opening their eyes to so many things they would ordinarily just walk straight past! Best suited to children aged 8 upwards however with a bit of help younger children can enjoy the hunts too.
What you get! Our Durham treasure hunt is pre written so all you need to do is buy one and you're set with everything you need including directions, clues, extra tasks, a map, the answers and a free teachers pack You can order a printed hunt which we will post to you, or you can buy a downloadable hunt to print yourself or view on smartphones, ipads, kindles etc.
How Long? The hunt will take up to two hours to completeand can be incorporated into a half or full day trip by stopping off for lunch and/or visiting other educational sites en route or nearby.

We also include a teacher’s pack containing, suggestions on organising the hunt, suggested learning agenda and feedback forms. Each hunt booklet has a map, directions, clues and extra scavenger tasks. The booklets are printed in full colour and you can purchase extra hunt booklets with pens for smaller teams or a larger group.
