What you get! Our DIY treasure hunts are pre written so all you need to do is buy one and you're set with everything you need including directions, clues, a map and the answers. You can order a printed treasure hunt booklet which we will post to you, or you can buy a downloadable treasure hunt to print yourself or view on smartphones, ipads, kindles etc. We also have fully interactive GPS treasure hunts you do on a your smart phone or hand held device, great for those who love their gadgets!
Looking for something extra special? for a day out in the holidays, a Christmas or Birthday gift maybe? Our printed treasure hunt booklets can include a personalised message on the cover and our PLUS4 version has the personalised message and 4 extra pages where we add 4 pictures and clues that you send to us!
Why not compete on a hunt against other families/friends? Our GPS hunts let you do just that! Set a start and finish location, set the clock ticking and race against the clock and the other teams to get the most possible points answering clues solving tasks and completing challenges.
How Long? The hunt will take one to two hours (ish) to complete however if you stop off at other attractions, have a bite of lunch or do a bit of shopping you can quite easily make it into a half or full day of activities!

When you buy one of our printed Boston treasure hunts this is what you get! An A5 printed booklet which contains everything you need to do the Boston hunt including a map, directions, clues and the answers. Have you had a look at our sample hunt ? This is what a hunt looks like and what we print into an A5 booklet. One booklet is all you need for 2-3 participants. Great for a small group, a couple of adults or a family with younger children, older children might want a book of their own?
Our standard Boston treasure hunt booklets have a colour outer and are black and white inside.
Our full colour Boston treasure hunt booklets have a colour outer and are colour inside too.
The answers are tucked away at the back of the booklet. If you order 2 or more booklets you are given the option of having the answers on a separate sheet of paper.
Delivery and postage. We send out printed treasure hunts 1st class usually the same or the next working day. If you are looking for things to do today you are best ordering a downloadable treasure hunt!
When you buy one of our downloadable Boston treasure hunts this is what you get! PDF files containing your Boston treasure hunt, which can be printed onto A4 paper, and HTML files that can be viewed on a smart phone. (Please note the download versions are not interactive and you will need a pen and paper to write the answers on and a printed copy of the answers to do the marking at the end)
When you come to the ‘confirmation of payment page’ there will be a button which says “click here to get your invoice and any download links” This will take you to a page containing the links you need to click on. A full colour Boston treasure hunt booklet with everything you need to go off hunting including a map, directions, clues and the answers, (just like in all our hunt booklets), with a personalised message on the front AND 4 extra pages with 4 clues and pictures you have sent to us to add! Our Boston treasure hunts – what are they all about? You are told where to start your treasure hunt, given simple directions to follow and a map of the area. In between directions you have things to hunt for by simply looking around on buildings, plaques, signs and statues etc. They are not a race and once you have your treasure hunt you are free to do it whenever you like.
When you have completed your treasure hunt why not mark the answers while having a cup of tea, an ice cream or how about a picnic on a sunny day :0) and if you visit the members area on our website you can personalize and print your very own huntfun certificates. (There is no actual treasure at the end by the way sorry!)
When you buy a GPS treasure hunt this is what you get! Links containing everything you need to do a GPS treasure hunt with friends and families on iphones, ipads or android touch screen phones/tablets (basically touch screen devices with email/internet/geo-location enabled!). We include full instructions so you can personalise and set up the hunt ready for use, links for each of the teams competing and links to print out the handouts needed too.
Our GPS treasure hunts – what are they all about? You set a start and finish point and the time you and your competing families and friends will have to complete the hunt in. (If you want to stop off for a drink or maybe lunch on the way don’t forget to factor this time in!) You all then navigate your way to the ’huntfun hotspots’ where challenges including clues to answer and tasks and activities to be completed can be accessed. You will be awarded points for correctly completing the challenges set. Scores are calculated real time so you are able to see how you and the other teams are doing throughout the hunt. The aim of the hunt is to gain as many points as possible in the allocated time. You will earn bonus points for getting to the finish early and penalties will be awarded if you are late! Strategy and team work is needed to plan your route carefully to ensure you get as many points as possible and if you access a ’hint’ only half the points available will be awarded! If you visit the member’s area on our website you can personalise and print your very own huntfun certificates. (There is no actual treasure at the end by the way sorry!)
Wheelchair access. This hunt is suitable for wheelchair users.
Buggy Friendly? Buggies and prams will be fine if there is someone to help lifting up and down any steps but do have a look at the wheelchair notes too!
