The Ambleside treasure hunt starts at the Tourist Information Centre , Market Cross, Ambleside, LA22 9BS. The old market cross, Bridge House, St Mary/'s Church, Ambleside Football Club and Roman Fort Galava,
The hunt is suitable for wheelchair users but some sections are relatively steep.

The Carlisle treasure hunt starts at the Tourist Information Centre , Greenmarket, Carlisle, CA3 6JE. Greenmarket, Carlisle Castle, Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery, Carlisle Cathedral, The Citadel Towers and The Market Cross,
The route is suitable for wheelchair users. Use the lifts or ramps rather than the steps on the footbridge.

Most of the route is passable but there are some steps as we leave the precincts of the Church. These can be bypassed by returning to and continuing along King Street.

Most of the route is passable but there are some steps between the Quayside and Williamson Lane. A diversion is possible to bypass these steps and to resume the hunt on Tangier Street.
