Important

The compiler of this Treasure Hunt accepts no responsibility or liability for any claim, loss, damage, injury or inconvenience whatsoever however sustained or caused as a result of using this Treasure Hunt. By taking part in the Treasure Hunt I and anyone accompanying me agrees to do so entirely at our own risk.

If you agree to the above, the treasure hunt starts outside the Tourist Information Centre on York Street.

Throughout the hunt you will see extra information written in italics. Whilst this does not form part of the instructions it is intended to make your

journey more interesting. Any detours you make to explore the surrounding sights en route should be retraced before continuing the hunt where you

 left off.

Tourist Information Centre

With our backs to the door of the Tourist Information Centre we cross the square

towards the Abbey.

1

Which court sounds as if it used to be held at 41½?

We continue to walk around the Abbey in a clockwise direction.

Bath Abbey is still one of Bath's parish churches on the site on which Christian

worship has taken place for over a thousand years.

 Office uniforms.

If we carry on past the Postal Museum, and bear right along The Paragon, we

will arrive at The Building of Bath Museum. The museum explains how and why Bath was built, decorated and lived in and how in a period of 70 years Bath developed from a small provincial spa to being the most fashionable place, outside of London.

In which century was the church built?

We turn left along Wood Street. When we reach Queen Square, turn right.

If we were to continue along this side of the square and carry straight on along
